How to Snowboard

How do I control my speed on a snowboard!?

Is it true you control speed by applying pressure by your back foot? Any advice would be great, i need to stop flying down the slope.

carve harder the harder you push on your heals or toes causes the board to dig into the snow more slowing you down more.
but honesty if your learning (which im assuming you are) the more speed the eaiser it is to not fall even though it does hurt more because you can catch an edge and fall very easily if you are going slow
good luck :)

You mean it is possible to control your speed on a snowboard? More snowboarders should be given this information.
