How to Snowboard

im going up tomorow and want to know some fun tricks to try.
I can do any grab imaginable and can grind like heck. I am pretty good at snowboarding

If you’re so good, why are asking people on yahoo for cool tricks? Shouldn’t you already have some in your head?

If you are as good as you say you are, why don’t you do a double backflip 180, Travis Rice style? That would be cool.

Then film it and put it up on youtube. Then enter the X-games while you are at it.

But how are you so good, but can’t ride switch? Weird….

Seriously, if I had a dollar for everytime I have heard someone talk themselves up and then not be able to back their sh*t up, well, I guess I would have enough money to take that heliriding trip to Alaska I’ve been wanting to take!

Well Ive been snowboarding for a while i think i can start doing tricks

well start small, be confident, for jumps don’t do tricks, be confident with the jump then do tricks, the landing makes the jump what it is, make sure it has a good landing, watch people do whatever you are gonna do first. Start out with thick not very highly raised box’s first. then when you are very confident try a small rail;, they are very different. Start out with board slide on rails or box’s. And a method for air tricks. that’s where you bring the board back and grab it.

I like snowboarding alot mostly i jib but none of my friends like to so i went in ski club with them i started to cool tricks i can do 180 almost flawless and i have only landed the 360 5 times. I can do a method and indy. Are there any tricks i should learn for next year. Is there anything i can do over the summer to help me with me spins.

PS i have no snow where i live in the summer

Twist your body a little more on those threes on some of those small medium jumps, and just get it in your head you need to land switch and bam, you have fives, easy steezy. Get a trampoline, and duct tape your edges you can learn some sweet grabs and sweet flips, its pretty similar to the feeling of going off jumps, except you are stationary,

Also go skate, It is really similar, and your legs will stay in shape for jumping.

I picked up snowboarding last year and got pretty good, I have total control and balance over the board and everything, and I’m feeling confident enough to start learning tricks, or at least going of jumps. What’s the best way to train for something like that so I don’t kill myself??

Could start by strapping up at home, practice pressing on your tail and nose into an ollie or ollie 180,3′s. Then on the mountain practice the same thing on easy runs eventually moving onto natural small kickers and than man made kickers of bigger sizes.
